A Meeting of the Mets Minds

Photographers snapped images of Casey Stengel and Wes Westrum while they chatted on a Central Park bench. Stengel was the first manager of the expansion Mets from 1962 until mid-1965, when Westrum took over in June. The Mets posted a 50-112 record in the season both men were skippers. Westrum remained manager until he departed mid-season in 1967.
