A Hall Worthy Tribute

Legendary Mets manager Gil Hodges was finally inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022 which prompted this tribute from the team. Hodges was a player on the 1962 Mets and slugged the first home run in franchise history. By 1968, Hodges returned to Queens as manager and led the team to the World Series title in 1969. Hodges’ daughter Irene thought her father would like the tribute saying, “He’d probably laugh; he’d find humor in it, for sure.”
