La Potencia

“La Potencia” translates to “The Power” and when the Mets acquired Yoenis Cespedes, nicknamed “La Potencia” in 2015 they knew they were getting a world-class slugger. He quickly showed they were right with a three-home run game against the Colorado Rockies. After a masterful 2016 that saw him hit 31 home runs, he started 2017 off right. On April 11, Cespedes became the first player in club history to have multiple three-home run games when he blasted three at Philadelphia in a 14-4 route of the Phillies. This jersey is from that game in 2017 while the image of the bat flip was from a few days earlier.
