How Many Cheesesteaks?

Dave Racaniello was a college baseball catcher when his family attended a Mets game where family friend Bobby Valentine was New York’s manager. When the Mets bullpen catcher was unable to make the game, Valentine asked Racaniello to step in. Four years later Racaniello was named the full-time bullpen catcher and he wore this jersey. One highlight came in 2011 when Racaniello broke the visiting clubhouse record at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philadelphia by downing 14 cheesesteaks. This image was from 2019 when he wore a different number and in 2025, Racaniello celebrated his 25^th anniversary with the team.
