Date: May 23-24, 2006
In the longest Mets game in more than a decade, New York rallied from deficits 2-1, 6-2 and 8-5 to beat the Philadelphia Phillies at home, 9-8 in 16 innings, on Carlos Beltran’s walk-off home run. “As soon as I hit it, I knew it was gone,” said Beltran after the game. “I was very happy about it.” Jose Reyes hit clutch a two-run home run with two outs in the 8th inning to tie the game.
